The States from Day 1 and Day 2

Above we have a strip of freeway from Nevada.
Notice the lovely dun landscape?
So did we!
For three hundred miles.

Above would be a picture of Utah had we taken one;
however, because we traveled through Utah at night,
and because it's, well, Utah, we didn't bother.

Above we have a strip of freeway from Wyoming.
Notice the lovely dun landscape with the occasional scrubby, dusty-green bush?
So did we!
For four hundred miles.

Above we have a strip of freeway from South Dakota.
Notice the beautiful green landscape, lovely blue sky, and puffy clouds?
So did we!
And unlike my other captions,
this one isn't meant to be snarky.
After nearly eight hundred miles of rocks and sage,
we loved South Dakota.

Alcova Reservior, Wyoming, was the only redeeming feature of that state.
We now understand why only 530,000 people call the state of Wyoming home.

The picture above illustrates the insanity of native Wyomians.
The winds were blowing about 25 mph at lake level.
The temperature is roughly 52 degrees F.
Those two white streaks are water skiers.

This image demonstrates what happens when
a glacier gets tired of being somewhere it's not supposed to be.
